The Tehidy Park Ladies once again did the club proud with an entry of eight individuals into the 36 hole stroke-play qualifier, which was held at Trevose Golf Club today.
They enjoyed a mixture of weather; fine to start, with a steady breeze getting up during the day, which culminated in wet conditions for the late starters. Whilst the greens were presented in great condition, the combination of green speed, and a freshening breeze reflected in the scores.
At the end of the qualifying process Lyn Brookes made her way into the top 16 of the Championship qualifiers and will face Bridie O’Hagan in the first round of the match-play stages.
In the Plate, for the next 16 qualifiers Tehidy Park will be represented by both Christine Williams and Katie Sandow, who will play Penny Cartwright and Sue Wilmott respectively, who both play out of St. Enodoc.
Shirley Clark, Amanda East, Pat MacMichael, Sue Pascoe and Rachael Lloyd-Phillips (who would have qualified in the top 16, but opted not to continue through to the match-play stage) made up the Tehidy Park contingent.
Well done ladies, and enjoy the rest of your week.
