The following is a copy of an email received from a visitor who recently played at Tehidy Park Golf Club. The stand out point here ‘for me’ as the Manager is the importance of the role that the member has in making the visitor experience one to remember; well done and thank you………………….
“My son Thomas and I (Tom is a PGA Pro) played your wonderful course last Friday. I feel compelled to write to thank you regarding your staff, members and your Professional, Jonathan Lamb for the wonderful welcome that we received on that day.
From the moment we arrived in the car park members were saying good morning to us, welcome and have a great day. The hospitality staff in the clubhouse were similarly welcoming and Jonathan was very helpful with a few course tips etc.
At xxxxxx Golf Club I was a club council member for over 18 years (chairman & trustee director for over 8 of those years). I tried so very hard to impress our members of the need for kindness and consideration to visitors – sadly some didn’t listen!
Tom and I were hugely impressed with friendliness of your club as well as the great condition of your very fine course. An enjoyable visit which we hope to repeat in the near future. Please pass on our sincere thanks to all at Tehidy Park – your club is a beacon for others to follow”.
