Frank Wills Q/F

Tehidy Park were given a lesson in match-play in the quarter-final of the Frank Wills trophy on yesterday by a buoyant St Austell team.

The match began in murky conditions on the splendid St Enodoc course, and unfortunately things did not get any brighter for Tehidy Park as the morning progressed. Giving a shot in each of the five matches, the Tehidy Park’ boys battled hard throughout, but never managed to take the initiative.

The disappointing 5-0 defeat, however, masked the closeness of the contest, with three of the matches only being decided on the 18th hole.

A big thanks to the whole squad of players, the caddies and the small band of loyal supporters.
