England Golf Champion Club Event – 23/24 September at East Devon.    Each County in England will be represented by their Champion Club in a 36-Hole, three-man scratch team with all scores to count. There will be some great players on show, including our nominated players. All support would be greatly appreciated.

Frank Wills Salver – Rd 1

Having won his first match in charge of the Cornwall Bowl team last weekend, it was sadly to be the taste of defeat this weekend for new Club Captain, David Ryder, as the Frank Wills Salver team lost out to a Mullion side that handled the ‘sometimes’ gale force winds better, in a first round match played at Falmouth.

  • Martin Trewhella & Tom Chapman lost 4&3
  • David O’Mahony & Chris Hoyle lost 2&1
  • Martyn Churchill & Mark Prouse won 1 Up
  • Ryan Curnow & Andrew Teuton lost 3&1
  • Nigel Thomas & Steve Dawe won 4&3

Attention now turns to the CTC match against Truro, which is to be played at Newquay on Sunday, 30th October. Foursomes commence at 8:00 a.m. with the Singles to commence at approx. 12:30 p.m.
