This category of membership entitles the member to full use of all the Club facilities except the course, i.e. bar, catering, practice putting green.

Bar Card - the Club manages a scheme giving members a ‘loyalty’ card that gives discount (20%) on drinks from the bar. Upon joining as a Social member you are charged a fee of £50, which is placed on an account for your use.

QUIZ NIGHTS

Quiz Night takes place every Thursday evening during the winter months commencing at 7.30pm and concluding approximately at 9pm with a 20 minute interval. It is a social evening with participants testing their knowledge in a fun way. The quiz is not hard so, come along and enjoy the evening. Teams are made up of four players at a cost of £1 each. There are three main prizes awarded on completion of the quiz.

CAPTAIN’S ROLL UPS

Captain’s Roll Up will commence on Thursday 1st April from 3.30pm. A poster will be displayed in the main lobby informing players what type of competition it is. The type of Roll Up is decided by the Club Captain and changes each week to give members the chance of playing in all types of golfing competitions. It is a fun evening and a chance to meet and play with friends and other members. The idea of a roll up is quite simply that, roll up and you will get a game. The proceeds of the evening go towards the Captain’s Charity and prizes for the evening’s competition.

CLUB DRAW

The Club draw takes place on Thursday evenings throughout the year when a quiz Night or Captain’s Roll Up takes place. The draw is open to all full playing and social members and in order to win the cash prize you have to be in the club house at the time of the draw. Each week £10 is added to the draw and if the winning member is not in attendance it rolls over to the following week gaining another £10 in the process. On quiz nights the draw takes place at approximately 8.30 pm and on Captain’s Roll Up evenings it takes place at the prize giving. A poster is displayed on the Social Notice Board informing members what the current Prize Fund is for that week.

100 CLUB

The 100 Club is exactly that, 100 members pay for the privilege to be in a draw each month. Each month two cash prizes are won. January, April, August and October is a £500 and £50 cash prize. The remaining months are two cash prizes of £50. Although the 100 Club is at its full capacity there is a waiting list should any member wish to become part of the 100 club contact the Social Secretary.

BONUS BALL

The bonus ball is a weekly sheet kept behind the bar. It comprises of 49 numbers, members can choose a number at a cost of £1. The winner receives £25 and is decided by the Wednesday Night lotto Bonus Ball. It is also a way of generating the funds required for the club draw and the running of Quiz Nights.
