Hitting the pin on the 5th only for it to kick into a bunker and proceed to get out of the bunker to well and put it into the bunker the other side of the green…… should have been a good look at birdie….. walked off with a 5 🫣
When I was starting to play I had 3 air shots in a row on the first in the ladies stableford (thank goodness it wasn't a medal!). I was in the last group and there were men queuing to play after us and one by one they moved to the fourteenth! I played quite well after that. There was the time when I got the ball off the toe and it hit the secretary's office wall and ended up behind me in the car park! On both occasions my shots were met with copious laughter. I still have nightmares about the first hole at Tehidy!

Probably after a hole in one on the seventh, was a soda siphon fight after coming back from a CTC match over the bar in the clubhouse. The good old days, probably be thrown out of the club these days, also walking out to Tehidy when the snow closed the course, and drinking with Ryan Rowe and Peter Ward. Great days
Got to be my Hole in One on the 2nd in my Jnr days around 1975 in the winter playing with Andy and Rod Richards. Hit a really easy 4 wood (my fav club, a Lee Trevino Sombrero) through the big tree (probably no longer there?) on the left, didn't touch a single leaf! Ball pitched perfect and ran up and out of site. Awesome feeling when we found it in the hole😁

Evening round before the Cornwall open in the late 60s. Holed in one on the 17th , as the light faded away so regrettably didn’t see it go in. Three of us went 1 2 3 on the hole , with if memory serves me 2 putts between us
