Who teaches golf
at Tehidy Park?

Jonathan Lamb came to Tehidy after twelve years as Senior Teaching Professional at Woburn Golf Club, where he worked alongside coaches including Alex Hay, Luther Blacklock, John Stirling, and John Garner. He holds the TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Level 1 qualification.

His role at Tehidy covers individual and junior tuition, custom club fitting on the Foresight GCQuad, gap testing on the SkyTrak simulator, the Pro Shop, and club repairs. More on his coaching at golfinstructor.co.uk.

Golf lesson questions

Do I need to be a member to book a lesson?

No. Lessons are open to visitors as well as members. A 40-minute lesson is £45 for members and £50 for visitors.

Where do lessons take place?

Indoors in the simulator bay next to the clubhouse bar, or outside on the practice ground. Playing lessons are an hour on the course itself.

How do I book a golf lesson?

Is there coaching for juniors?

Yes. Jonathan runs Saturday group coaching for juniors at £5 a session, alongside the Friday Junior Roll Up. A 30-minute individual lesson for under-16s is £25. See junior membership.

I do not have a handicap yet. Can I still have lessons?

Yes. Speak to Jonathan about tuition and registration. You do not need a handicap certificate to play Tehidy Park as a visitor either.

Can I get my clubs fitted?

Yes. Custom fitting uses the Foresight GCQuad, and a gap test on SkyTrak is £25. See the golf simulator page for fitting and bay hire.
