Most of Cornwall’s golf is made by the wind. Tehidy is made in spite of it. The parkland sits below the Basset Estate, canopied by oak and beech, sheltered from the Atlantic in a way no links course can be. Three lakes – added in 1998 – define the middle and closing stretches. A par 3 requires a full carry over water; the 8th, a 443-yard par 4, is the hardest hole on the card.

A handicap certificate is not required to play Tehidy Park as a visitor. All visitors are expected to demonstrate a sound grasp of etiquette and a steady pace of play. If you are new to golf, ring the Pro Shop on 01209 842914 and the team will advise.

A typical round at Tehidy takes approximately four hours. We ask all visitors to maintain a steady pace so that everyone enjoys their round. If your group falls behind the group ahead, please allow faster groups to play through. The starter can advise on current pace expectations on the day.
Tehidy Park Golf Club is on Cot Road, Camborne, Cornwall, TR14 0HH. The course sits between Camborne and Redruth, two miles inland from the north Cornwall coast, and is reached from the A30. Visitors are welcome seven days a week, with no handicap certificate needed. For a satnav, use TR14 0HH.
The club is roughly ten minutes by car from the centre of Camborne. Camborne railway station is about two miles away, and taxis wait at the rank outside the station.
Tehidy Park sits between Camborne and Redruth. From Redruth the drive is a little under fifteen minutes.
Golfers based in Truro will find the club at Cot Road, Camborne, TR14 0HH. It is reached from the A30, the main road through Cornwall, with no difficult lanes to navigate.
Staying in Falmouth? Tehidy Park is at Cot Road, Camborne, TR14 0HH. It is an inland parkland course, sheltered from the sea wind that can make an exposed coastal course a different game on a rough day.
If you are staying near Hayle or St Ives, the drive to Tehidy is short, and the tree-lined parkland holds up well when the wind is up on the coast.
The entrance on Cot Road lies between Camborne and the coast at Portreath, next to Tehidy Country Park, so the drive from Portreath is short.

We very much enjoyed our day out at this lovely parkland course. The greens were in excellent condition.
